Show patients their progress, not just their scores.
RDH One turns your plaque, calculus, bleeding and periodontal readings into one clear, colourful chart. Patients see at a glance what got better since their first visit, and what needs a little more attention.
No card needed. Set up your clinic in about two minutes.

Score it once. Show it in seconds.
Enter the assessment you already do, sextant by sextant. RDH One does the maths and draws the story.
Score each sextant
Big tap targets for plaque, calculus, gingival index, bleeding sites, PSR, pocket depth and recession. Copy last visit’s values and change only what moved.
Compare with the baseline
The first assessment becomes the baseline. Every cleaning after it is compared with that visit and with the one just before.
Turn the screen around
One tap opens the patient view on a second monitor or a handed-over iPad: large type, plain words, and no clinic records within reach.

Point to the exact spot.
An illustrated mouth with every tooth shows where plaque and tartar are building up and where the gums need care, area by area, with the change since the first visit written right beside it.
- Teeth light up for plaque and tartar, the way disclosing solution would.
- The gum line glows for bleeding and pocket depth.
- Every area has its number, so colour is never the only clue.
Four lines, in words patients use.
Each index sits on the same 0–100% “needs attention” scale, so one chart tells the whole story. Lower is always better. Clinical values stay one tap away.
Plaque
Silness–Löe Plaque Index, 0–3
The soft film brushing and flossing remove. The easiest win to show.
Tartar
Calculus Index (CI-S), 0–3
Hardened deposits only a cleaning removes, tracked area by area.
Gum bleeding
Gingival Index + bleeding on probing
Inflammation, shown as a share of sites that bled, and how it settles over time.
Gum pockets
PSR code, pocket depth, recession
Periodontal screening, deepest pocket and recession in millimetres.

“Better since your first visit.”
Numbers like 1.4 out of 3 mean little in the chair. RDH One says it plainly: better, about the same, or needs attention. Each line pairs an icon with words, so it reads clearly for everyone, including people with colour blindness.
- A printed take-home summary with the same chart and notes.
- Tap any visit on the chart to see that day.
- A table view of every visit for anyone who prefers numbers.
Patient data stays in Canada.
Built for Ontario clinics with privacy in mind from the first line of code.
Stored in Toronto
Records and backups are held on servers in Toronto, Ontario, and travel over encrypted connections.
Only what you need
A chart number, first name and last initial by default. Full names are an opt-in clinic setting.
Every change on record
Edits to saved assessments are logged with who, when and what changed, and each record opened is noted in the access log.
Locks itself
An unattended screen signs out after 10 minutes, and the patient view needs a staff hold to exit.
Roles for the team
Hygienists and dentists chart. Front desk adds patients and shows progress. Owners manage the team.
Export any time
Clinic owners can download every patient and assessment whenever they like.

Works on the screens you have.
Install the RDH One desktop app on the operatory computer and the patient view opens full screen on the second monitor with one click. Or hand over an iPad or phone. Everyone on the team signs in to the same clinic.
On the desk, the iPad and the phone.
Install RDH One on the operatory computer for the second-screen patient view, or open it in any browser. Every device signs in to the same clinic.
iPhone and iPad apps are coming to the App Store. Until then, open RDH One in Safari and choose Add to Home Screen.
Good to know
Which indices does RDH One support?
Plaque Index (0–3), Calculus Index (0–3), Gingival Index (0–3), bleeding on probing as sites bled over sites probed, PSR codes 0–4 with the asterisk flag, deepest pocket and greatest recession in millimetres, all recorded per sextant. Edentulous sextants can be left out.
Does it replace our practice-management software?
No. RDH One sits alongside it. Patients are matched by the chart number you already use, and nothing needs to be imported.
How is the 0–100% scale worked out?
Each index is expressed as a share of its worst possible value. A plaque score of 1.5 out of 3 is 50%, for example. That puts every index on one axis, pointing the same way, without hiding the clinical number.
What happens after the free trial?
Your records stay readable and exportable. Adding new patients and assessments resumes once a clinic owner sets up the plan from Settings.
Can I re-baseline after periodontal therapy?
Yes. Mark any visit as the baseline and later visits are compared with it. Earlier visits stay on the chart as history.
